Key takeaways
- Jobber shows job totals at the top of each report under Insights > Reports, and clients are counted from the CSV that Clients > More Actions > Export Clients emails you.
- Reports need an admin user or the Reports permission, and reports and client exporting are available on select Jobber plans; the Taxation, Waypoints and Job Follow-ups reports cannot be exported.
- Each report exports with Email CSV and All columns, client CSV files hold up to 1,500 rows each, and attachments zip only for a note with five or more files.
- You don't need to export anything to apply: have your record count, years of history and number of seats ready, and the data vendor anonymizes the records before any AI lab sees them.
01
What is Jobber data, and why do AI labs and data vendors buy it?
The short answer
Jobber data is the record of a service company's work in Jobber, the software that lawn care, cleaning, landscaping and other home-service businesses use to take requests, send quotes, schedule jobs and visits, invoice customers and collect payment. AI labs (companies that build and train AI models) and data vendors (companies that anonymize business records and package them for those labs) buy a copy because Jobber follows a piece of work from the first request to the paid invoice.
What a Jobber account records
Jobber stores each step of a piece of work as its own record. A request is a customer asking for work, a quote is the price offered, a job is the work itself, a visit is one scheduled trip to do part of it, and the invoice is the bill.
Clients, their property addresses, tags, custom fields and internal notes with attached photos and files sit alongside these records.
Why the path from request to invoice teaches an AI model something
An AI model learns by studying a very large number of examples and finding the patterns in them, and those examples are called training data. Quotes that were accepted or turned down show how service businesses price work and which prices customers accept, and the visits show how long a job really takes.
Recurring jobs add repeat service patterns, such as a weekly lawn visit or a monthly cleaning, and the internal notes say what happened on site. AI labs now also want to train AI agents, software that carries out a job step by step, and an agent learns a job from records of that job being done. The full mechanism is in AI training data: why AI companies want your company's data.
How Jobber fits into a dataset
Jobber is usually one of several apps in a company's dataset, next to email, accounting and customer records. Companies are paid $100K to $2M or more per dataset, according to micro1, the data vendor we typically refer companies to. The price covers the whole dataset, not each app on its own, and what your data is worth explains what moves it.
02
Where does Jobber show how much data you have?
The short answer
Jobber shows totals at the top of each report under Insights > Reports, and the One-off jobs report puts the number of jobs for your chosen period in its large headline figure. An admin user, or a user given the Reports permission, can open reports on the plans that include them. Clients are counted separately, from the client export.
How to count jobs, quotes, invoices and clients
The steps below build a record count from Jobber's own reports, following its One-off jobs report and Reports basics pages.
- Sign in at jobber.com in a web browser, as an admin user or as a user who has the Reports permission. Jobber's reports are on the website, not in the mobile app.
- Open Insights > Reports in the side navigation and choose One-off jobs under Work reports.
- Pick a date filter (for example Scheduled start within) and set a custom range that begins before your first job. The large Jobs scheduled figure at the top is the number of jobs for that period.
- Open the recurring jobs, quotes, visits and invoices reports the same way, and write down the total each one shows.
- For clients, go to Clients > More Actions > Export Clients, choose CSV, and count the rows in every file Jobber emails you.
Which plans and permissions you need
Reports and client exporting are available on select Jobber plans, and the plan name appears under the Gear Icon > Account and Billing. A user without the Reports permission does not see the reports, and an admin turns it on from Gear Icon > Manage Team by choosing the user, picking Custom permissions and switching Reports on.
| What you count | Where | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
| Jobs, quotes, visits and invoices | Insights > Reports | Admin users, or users with the Reports permission; select plans |
| Clients | Clients > More Actions > Export Clients | Admin users; team members with the Reports permission can export some client data; select plans |
Why a report total can differ from your all-time total
A report counts jobs against the date filter you choose. The overview totals respond to the Job created filter and the date range, so a range that starts too late leaves out the oldest work. Set the range to cover every year you have used Jobber before you read the number.
03
What should you know about your Jobber data before you apply?
The short answer
Have three facts ready: how many records your account holds, how many years it covers and how many people have logins. They go into the data manifest, the written summary of which apps hold your records, how many years each covers and roughly how much. You don't need to run an export to find them.
The record count
The record count is the combined total of jobs, quotes, invoices and clients from the last section. Add your Jobber plan name in your notes, since Jobber's reports and client export depend on the plan.
The years of history
Export a jobs report with the widest date range and read the oldest date in the file. That date is usually close to the day the company started on Jobber.
The number of seats
A seat is one person with their own login. Count the active people listed under Gear Icon > Manage Team, which includes field crew members who work only from the mobile app.
What you don't need to do first
You don't need to export anything to apply, and you don't need to clean or scrub records. The data vendor anonymizes the records before anyone else sees them, and nothing moves until a lawyer-reviewed license is signed. The application, the intro call and each later step are laid out in how to sell your company's data.

How do you export your full Jobber history?
The short answer
You export each work and financial report from Insights > Reports with the Email CSV button and All columns, then export the client list from Clients > More Actions > Export Clients. Attachments are the gap: Jobber zips them only for a note that has five or more files, and there is no account-wide download.
Step one: export the reports
- Open Insights > Reports on jobber.com and choose a work or financial report.
- Set the date range to span your whole history.
- Click Email CSV and choose All columns. Selected columns exports only what is on your screen at that moment.
- Open the email Jobber sends to your sign-in address and save the CSV. Repeat for each report.
The Taxation, Waypoints and Job Follow-ups reports cannot be exported, because Jobber does not produce them as CSV files. Accounts linked as franchises have extra choices on the same button, and those exports cover at most 90 days of data per request.
Step two: export the clients
- Sign in as an admin user, because client exporting needs that role on the plans that offer it.
- Click Clients in the side navigation, then More Actions in the top right corner, then Export Clients.
- Choose CSV (vCard is the other option) and leave the tag selection empty so everyone is included.
- Click Export and wait for Jobber's email.
Jobber describes the client export on its Export client information page. The file holds tags, property addresses, contact information and custom fields. A CSV carries up to 1,500 rows, so an account with more clients receives several files in one email.
Step three: download the notes' attachments
Notes can be added to clients, requests, quotes, jobs, visits and invoices, and each attached file can be up to 500 MB, as Jobber's notes and attachments page says. The zip export works one note at a time.
- Open a note that holds five or more attachments.
- Press the three-dot icon on that note and choose Export files.
- Click Send email to receive a zip file at your sign-in address.
A note with fewer than five attachments has no zip option, so its files are saved one by one from the note. On the Plus plan, a client's Files and media tab gathers the images and files from that client's notes in one place.
What the exports leave out and how long they take
Jobber has no way to download every attachment in the account at once. Every export arrives by email, and Jobber gives no time estimate, so start early and watch the inbox of the address you sign in with.

What stays private when Jobber data is licensed?
The short answer
The account owner decides who can export Jobber data, and the company decides which records are shared. The data vendor replaces names and other personal details with consistent stand-ins before an AI lab sees anything. The company keeps ownership of its Jobber data, and the license covers defined records for a defined use.
You choose what is in scope
The account owner controls who is allowed to export, so decisions about what leaves Jobber stay with that person. A company can share its work and invoice records and keep back its client list or its note attachments. The data vendor also deletes records too sensitive to clean safely instead of anonymizing them.
Names are replaced before a lab sees them
Anonymization means replacing every detail that identifies a person or a place, such as a name, a phone number or an address, with a stand-in that is the same every time it appears. The visit still reads in order, so a lab can learn from it, but it no longer says who the client is or where they live. The diagram below shows one visit before and after.
The method, including what is deleted outright and how you review samples, is in how company data is anonymized for AI training.
Ownership and payment
Licensing gives the buyer limited rights to a copy, while the company keeps ownership of the originals. The terms that matter, such as exclusivity, permitted use and deletion, are covered in data licensing. micro1 pays in full within 30 days of accepting the data, usually as a single payment.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Who can export data from Jobber?
Admin users can export clients, and team members with the Reports permission can export some client data. Reports can be run and exported by admins and by users who hold the Reports permission, which an admin switches on under Gear Icon > Manage Team.
Why did our Jobber client export arrive as several files?
Jobber splits a client CSV into files of up to 1,500 rows. Combine the files, or add up their rows, to get your full client list.
Can we export all of our Jobber photos at once?
No. Jobber zips attachments one note at a time, and only for a note with five or more files. Smaller sets download one file at a time.
Why is there no Reports menu in our Jobber account?
Your plan may not include reports, because Jobber offers them on select plans only. Look up your plan under Gear Icon > Account and Billing, then ask Jobber support which plan adds reporting and client export.
Which Jobber reports can't be exported?
The Taxation, Waypoints and Job Follow-ups reports. Jobber does not produce them as CSV files, so the other work and financial reports are the ones to export.
Where does the Jobber report CSV go?
Jobber emails it to the address you sign in with after you click Email CSV and choose All columns or Selected columns.
Do we need to export Jobber before we apply?
No. The application takes about two minutes and shares no data. You only need your approximate record count, your years of history and your number of seats for the intro call, and the report totals give you the first. The full export is needed later, when the records are transferred after you sign the license.
Can we license only our work records and leave clients out?
Yes. The company chooses which records leave Jobber, and the account owner controls who can export them.
What is Jobber data worth to AI labs and data vendors?
Jobber history is priced as part of a whole dataset rather than on its own. Companies are paid $100K to $2M or more per dataset, according to micro1, and the price depends on the years of history and how completely the records show each piece of work from the request to the payment. What your data is worth explains the factors.
Bottom line
Know what is in Jobber, then see what it is worth
You don't need to export anything to apply. Apply in two minutes, describe your records on the intro call, and micro1, the data vendor we typically refer companies to, prices the whole dataset and sends an offer 1–2 days later.
